Introduction :

Three years ago, the Bonita Springs Lions Club elected to commit its substantial resources to the creation of an independent eye clinic for the medically indigent.
While the club has been a leader in funding eye care in Lee County and surrounding areas, this is an important expansion to its mission. The facility, which is housed on the campus of the Lions Club, provides comprehensive eye care examinations and therapeutic care for adults and children who meet the economic federal guidelines for care.
The clinical and administrative staff is composed of experienced professionals including a retired Hospital President, a Board Certified Pediatric Ophthalmologist serving as Medical Director, and the Chief Executive Officer with many years of experience in managing the eye program of the Bonita Lions Club. The clinic is staffed by volunteer Ophthalmologists as well as Optometrists in conjunction with several private practice groups.
It is the mission of the clinic to integrate its service with programs operated by social service, health care, educational, employer and law enforcement agencies.
