It is time for the annual election of officers for the Bonita Springs Lions Club. Because of restrictions due to Covid-19, changes have been made by the Board of Directors to ensure that the Constitution and By-Laws are followed but also to protect the health and safety of our members. Therefore, the election will take place at Zoom meetings as follows:

Article II, Section 4. NOMINATION MEETING. A nomination meeting shall be held in March of each year or as determined by the board of directors, with the date and place of such meeting to be determined by the board of directors. Notice of the meeting shall be published by regular post or electronic means or by personal delivery to each member of this club at least fourteen (14) calendar days prior to the date of the meeting.
The Nomination Meeting will be held on Monday, March 29, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. at the following Zoom Meeting:

At this time, nominations will be presented by the Nominating Committee. If you wish to nominate someone from the floor, it may be done at that time or you may mail a nomination to Club Secretary Lion Margie Gillette, 1658 Sanctuary Pointe Dr., Naples, FL 34110 to arrive no later than March 26, 2021. You must be sure that the nominee is willing to serve in the position for which he/she is nominated.
Article II, Section 3. ELIGIBILITY FOR OFFICE. No person shall be eligible to hold office in this club unless he/she is an active member in good standing.

Such notice shall include the names of all nominees approved at the preceding nomination meeting, and subject to Section 3 above, a statement that these nominees will be voted upon at this election meeting.

The Lions Clubs provide a FREE vision and hearing screening program for pre-school children ages 3 and 4 years of age intended to identify early signs of Amblyopia, "lazy eye"; including asymmetric refractive errors, Astigmatism “blurred vision from distortion of the cornea”; Hyperopia, “farsightedness”; Myopia, “nearsightedness”; and Strabismus “crossed eyes”.
